We saw these scarecrows several years ago in North Georgia on our way to a family reunion in July. We stopped so I could take photos of them. They have been the subject of several different paintings. There were four of these scarecrows in the original photos and have been the subject of several different paintings in different numbers, views and formats. The garden was overgrown which I loved. I have never been a painter of manicured landscapes or gardens. When I look at them, I bet there was a story when they were built. I know we each can make one up, right? It was a fun painting to create!
