This painting was done a lot from my imagination, with the help of a few photos. My own photos are a great source for reminding me how rocks look in this type of cluster at a river's edge. It is fun coming up with my own idea of a landscape by the river since I see and paint so many of them in this type of situation. I was also trying to imply details but get away with just making you think those details are there everywhere ... but really not there.
