Dawn Of A New Day

This painting is created on a beautiful birch panel with clear gesso in case any of the wood should happen to show through the paint. The scene is from the Blue Ridge, GA area and captures the look of the Blue Ridge Mountains and wonderful pastures in the morning. When I see these scenes I immediately want to set up my easel and paint. This was done in the studio from my photo because of the large size. I hope you can feel the morning air and the dawn of the new day!

I was honored to have this painting chosen as I was finishing it for the Georgia Capital office of the Speaker of the House, David Ralston. It was there from 2010 - 2022.
