"Roosevelt Stand" is a 16" x 12" pastel on Ampersand Pastelbord. It was done plein air (on location - from life) while painting for the "Open Air Meriwether" in the spring (2019). Two of my artist friends and I traveled to the Roosevelt property in Warm Springs GA to paint on one of our days in Meriwether County for this event. There is a school on this property that is for children with some special needs. We had a couple of their students join us and paint/draw along with us. It was such a good day. This is what painting plein air can be about. Sharing and teaching these two girls was a lot of fun. They had a great time and asked some really insightful questions.
It is offered unframed and at my "studies" based pricing structure. The studies pricing is for those paintings I produce that are experimental, demonstrations, and some plein air work... and usually the small pieces that just can't work in the gallery setting. Or it could be a wonderful painting that just has not met its rightful owner yet! It becomes a good value and an opportunity to have some original artwork, or to start your collection!
Shipping will be added to the painting price and determined by where it needs to be shipped.
