The "Patch of Blue" study has been waiting for the last strokes of pastel to finally become a “painting” worthy of being framed! The scene is from a creek in the Fiery Gizzard Trail, located in a Tennessee State Park. The color of the water was unusual to me. I am not sure why it was such a different color!
I was painting plein air with a group when a couple of us decided to walk this trail. I took many photos on the walk and have painted a number of times from them. They never fail to inspire me!
