I am always drawn to pastures and trees and creating a painting of them is such a treat. The scene is no one place in particular, but a figment of my imagination. There is a scene somewhat similar on one of the roads we travel around Tate, Georgia, with a field and distant mountains, but the rest is my imagination at work. I have added some elements to this painting which was started a few years ago. The roadway and small barn were key elements I wanted to incorporate into the painting to give it more life. The pinkish dogwood tree was an afterthought, but glad I made it!
