This painting was done from a photograph I took on a trip to France in 2006. This little painting makes me smile. Everywhere we went, there were colorful windows with flowers or shutters. Here it was the Hollyhocks that caught my imagination. Hollyhocks have always been one of my favorite flowers to paint. The buildings in France were very old, and well loved... just like all the gardens, flower boxes and windows!
In the Etsy Shop, I have the painting priced without the framing.
