This scene is near Blue Ridge,
Georgia -- and a view from a property of a friend that I paint on
location quite often. It was done from a photograph -- but I took
liberties with the background, changing the scene to a little misty
pasture one, from a strong colored tree line in the background. The
painting was accepted
into the First Annual Southern Appalachian Artist Guild Juried Exhibition in Blue Ridge,
Georgia in 2008 which was juried by nationally known artist Alan
Flattmann. At the end of the exhibition it had been voted the "People's
Choice Award".
