This scene is near Blue Ridge,
Georgia -- and a view from a property of a friend that I paint on
location quite often. This was done from a photograph -- but I took
liberties with the background, changing the scene to a little misty
pasture one, from a strong colored tree line in the background. This
painting has not been seen in a gallery yet -- but has been accepted
into the First Annual Juried Exhibition in Blue Ridge, Georgia. This
show is being presented by the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild and
the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association and was juried by nationally
known artist Alan Flattmann. The opening reception will be held on
October 18, 2008 in Blue Ridge.
