This painting was done as a demonstration for the Southeastern Pastel Society at a monthly meeting. It was painted from a photograph taken in Cobb County near the Concord Covered Bridge -- which is designated as a historic district. There is an old train trestle just above where I was standing which has been converted into a walking / biking trail and is called the Silver Comet Trail. So -- the name of the creek is Nickajack Creek and it is under the Comet! Trail -- hence the name. This was a lot of fun to paint
